Summer HD Encores come to Ballantyne

Opera Carolina’s season ended a few weeks ago. There’s a good chance The Met isn’t on your summer "must do" list. For opera lovers looking to keep the drama alive through more than your kitchen CD player, the Summer HD Encore series is bringing your favorite sopranos and sonatas to the silver screen.

The Summer HD Encore series features a weekly production from Met Opera live in HD, a series of live, high-definition transmissions from the grand opera house itself. This year, Stonecrest 22 @ Piper Glen will host the series on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m., for just $14 a ticket. Consider nosebleed seats at The Met can cost six times that, that’s a pretty great deal. The schedule is as follows:
