Sweet Tartan

Just because people began wearing tartan plaid centuries ago in Scotland doesn't mean it's out of date. Designers have recently updated this classic pattern, making it less preppy and less British punk and more sophisticated. But with a pattern this dominating, be wary of pairing it with too many other accents. Keep it simple and add complementary solids (think dark-rinse skinny jeans) and let the tartan take center stage.
