Tabor Opens in Myers Park
Owners of Capitol and Poole Shop expand into menswear with a standalone store for gents

Laura Vinroot Poole, the nationally recognized Charlotte boutique owner, is finally putting her signature touch on a space just for guys.
Poole is behind a new men’s store—called Tabor—now open on Providence Road in Myers Park. The shop carries designer items that Poole says are either classically American “or American in spirit.” It will feature brands such as RRL Ralph Lauren, Thom Browne, and Steven Alan.
The space is bright and open, with clean lines and light wood floors.
Poole is well respected in the fashion world for her ability to curate unique but practical pieces. The New York Times tagged along with her on a buying trip to Paris earlier this year, and Southern Living named her one of the 50 people changing the South in 2015.
Tabor is located at 421 Providence Rd., a space that opened up thanks to preppy outfitter J. McLaughlin’s impending move to Phillips Place. It will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
