Chic jackets for the cold weather wedding

As we fall full swing into autumn, we look forward to ultra-romantic nuptials under the crisp night stars. And every savvy bride knows that a bit of extra warmth to your wedding ensemble is essential. But what to wear? With your dream dress secured, the pressure is heavy to find an equally elegant option to slip on over your gown. So we've found more than a few chic cover-ups for your choosing. And before you take a peek, a few styling tips: Be sure your cover-up is elevating the look. There are few things more formal than a wedding gown. And even for the bride planning a low-key soirée, you don't want to downplay a simple dress with an even more simple bolero. Always think upward when it comes to wedding jackets. A shimmery lace overlay jacket with a structured shoulder couldn't be more stunning. In fact a close friend of mine donned this exact brand and silhouette for her January nuptials in multi-colored sequins–it was beautiful. For something more understated, a light pink sequin bolero will do just the trick for a bride who loves her bling. Another trick: opt for a tuxedo look. This androgynous styling detail is surprisingly sexy in a classic Old Hollywood way. Black satin or winter white–they both win. And of course, for the dead-of-winter wedding, one can never go wrong with a fur jacket. Left to right, top to bottom: ONE/TWO/THREE/FOUR/FIVE/SIX
