Advice Foy Ingram, one of the world’s oldest people, gave to young waiters and waitresses at The Pines retirement community in Davidson. She died in March, at age 112. (The Charlotte Observer, Mar. 21)

Concord resident James Meyers Jr., recalling what a police officer told him in March, when the officer discovered that Meyers had an outstanding warrant in Rowan County for an unreturned VHS tape. The charges against Meyers were later dropped. (wsoctv.com, Mar. 24)
