The Avett Brothers Announced Drive-In Show at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Concert arrives on August 29

For their first live set in six months, The Avett Brothers are putting on a drive-in concert at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on August 29. Tickets go on sale on July 17. Scott and Seth Avett announced the show via a YouTube video on Tuesday, adding that there will be room for more than 1,500 cars and their live set is accompanied by the site’s 16,000-square-foot digital screen. 

The news comes shortly after the band’s newest record was announced. The Third Gleam comes out on August 29, a day after the Speedway concert. Ticket-holders for the show can also purchase a limited-edition vinyl version of the LP.
