The Booty Loot
24 Hours of Booty Celebrates Its Tenth Anniversary

It started with one man, his bike, and a funny name. Charlotte attorney Spencer Leuders created the 24 Hours of Booty back in 2002 with the hope of raising money to fund cancer research. Though no one in his family has ever fought the disease, the avid cyclist grew up in a town adjacent to Lance Armstrong’s and felt the urge to help raise awareness (and money) for the cause. That first year he was the lone rider on the course for twenty-four hours. Fast-forward a decade to the tenth anniversary and Leuders is joined by hundreds at the annual event, where together they have raised millions.
