The ‘Guys’ Want You to Come to Their Halloween Party

Come dressed to kill at Monster Mash, the second annual Halloween costume ball hosted by Guys With Ties, a non-profit group supporting smaller charities in Charlotte. The party will be held at hip, old-school nightspot Cans Bar and Canteen, where costumed attendees can compete for cash prizes and Panthers tickets.

Proceeds benefit Room at the Inn, a maternity and after-care program that has served women in the area for more than a decade. Formed almost two years ago, Guys With Ties was organized by five men in Charlotte who wanted to use their free time and networking to engage a large demographic in Charlotte—young professionals like themselves.

Last year’s costume ball, also at Cans, raised $12,000 for the NoDa School for the Arts. By 11 p.m. there was a line down the block of people waiting to get in, and the event eventually reached capacity. So if you plan to go, get there early.

When: Saturday, October 27, 8 p.m.-2 a.m.
