The Q.C. and the D-List

Seems like fourth-tier celebs—hello, Jersey Shore castmates—have been dropping into Charlotte nightclubs left and right. A ploy to attract more patrons? Probably. Here, a look at which wannabe celebs made the Queen City home for one night.

At times this year, Halo has become a makeshift reality star headquarters. The nightclub has held several installments of “Pure Wednesdays with the Tools,” where women take shots with cast members from VH1’s Tool Academy, including Angel Moore and Arian Mayer, who were there in April.

Notoriously foppish D-list celeb Scott Disick (of Keeping Up with the Kardashians fame) celebrated his twenty-seventh birthday at Butter NC with his baby mama Kourtney Kardashian (aka Kim Kardashian’s older sib) in tow. Butter co-owner and NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin hung with the couple in VIP.

In June, when Snooki’s appearance at Whiskey River was being promoted, it must’ve been to assure us that it would be the real her. The Jersey Shore star hosted a $300 Snook-Alike contest. Snooki—who picked the winning look-alike—reportedly rakes in $12,000 for club appearances. Ka-ching!

Before he was on Dancing with the Stars, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was dancing at Suite. Not wanting to be relegated to VIP, The Situation bounced around Suite, danced on tables, and even went shirtless (surprised?) to show off his famous abs.

This summer, Kim Zolciak and Kandi Burruss of The Real Housewives of Atlanta hit the road, visiting Charlotte in July with Bravo’s camera crews in tow. The ladies did a little afternoon barhopping, including a stop at the Thirsty Beaver Saloon in Plaza Midwood. Later that night, they performed at Tempo, where Zolciak took the stage to lip sync her iTunes hit “Tardy for the Party.”
