The Weekday Roundup: Andy McKee, Beyond Craft, & Judah & The Lion

MONDAY
BRITISH INVASION
There aren’t any Beatles in this British Invasion, but that doesn’t mean the work isn’t any less impressive. Check out pieces by the likes of Henry Moore, Ben Nicholson, Bridget Riley, Lynn Chadwick and Barbara Hepworth at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art.

TUESDAY
AN EVENING WITH ANDY MCKEE
McKee has been a game-changer for solo acoustic guitar players, utilizing much more than just the string portion of his instrument. Check out the YouTube sensation in the flesh with this Queen City date. See the video that launched him below:

WEDNESDAY
BEYOND CRAFT
Beyond Craft: Decorative Arts From The Leatrice S. And Melvin B. Eagle Collection displays studio objects made between the 1960s and 2000s. The Eagles collected decorative art over decades, and now, the rest of the world can enjoy it.

THURSDAY
JUDAH & THE LION
This folk band hails from Nashville, first breaking through with the indie release Sweet Tennessee. Though they began in the genre of Christian worship, they’ve moved further and further into broader Americana themes. Their follow-up, Kids These Days, was released in September.
