Today's Fashion News Round-Up
Today started out like any other innocuous, gloomy Thursday. Unless you happened to be one of the folks lined up at 3 a.m. in front of the new Nordstrom Rack at Carolina Pavilion hoping to win a 90-second shopping spree. On day one of its doors being open, shoppers have already spotted goods from Marc Jacobs and Jimmy Choo, which bodes well for label lovers on a budget.
Over in SouthPark, Brooks Brothers is also celebrating a grand (re)opening today with their new 8,800 square-foot space (in the old Modern Salon digs) at Phillips Place.
On a much less celebratory note, today is the last day to buy bags from S.W.A.P. Handbags before they close their virtual doors for good (they’ve also got a few bags left over on the shelves at Monarch). Sad to see you go, but it’s been fun to witness all the slashed prices on everything from Louis Vuitton to Burberry to Balenciaga.
