Weekend Ahead: April 9-11

NO JUNK IN THIS TRUNK –  Lafayette 148 Trunk Show at Neiman Marcus

See the breezy, bright summer collection from this immensely wearable brand Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Level 2 at Neiman Marcus at SouthPark Mall.

VINTAGE ON THE CHEAP – Printable Coupon for Hong Kong Vintage

Huge kudos go out to Scoop Charlotte for tweeting about this little gem yesterday! Hunting through vintage clothing racks is one of my favorite spring time activities, and it’s even more fun when you’ve got a 10% off coupon good for almost anything you find! The coupon is good all month, so happy shopping!

PILE ON THE SAVINGS – Sale at Off Fifth at Concord Mills

Are we dreaming? Can you even put outlet priced stuff on sale? That seems like cheating. Well we aren’t going to be the ones to call them on it. This Saturday during Off Fifth (as in Saks Fifth Avenue)’s customer appreciation event, you can take 25% your complete purchase! (Sign up for their rewards program and you’ll get 30% off!). If you are looking for a man on the inside to let know when the new shipment of Jimmy Choo’s arrives, may I suggest following @iftheshoefits on Twitter? You won’t regret it!

TO THE THEATER WE GO – Multiple great shows in Charlotte this weekend!

You could probably pull a name of a theater venue out of a hat this weekend and find a good show to see. There’s Jersey Boys at Belk Theater, Lewis Black performing at Ovens Auditorium, and The Piano Lesson on stage at CPCC Pease Auditorium. Not to mention music acts like Delta Moon at The Double Door Inn, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony ("Meet me at the crossroads… crossroads…crossroads…") at Amos’ Southend , and Three Days Grace at Bojangles Coliseum.   My fashion tip: just because it’s summer doesn’t mean it will be warm inside where you’re going. Theaters like to pump the AC when the weather gets hot so bring a cardigan or wrap to cover up that sundress!

ARTFUL ENDEAVORS – Last weekend for Romance of the Road at The Light Factory

Craving a summer road trip? Who isn’t. Since we can’t all skip town like kids on spring break, we can head to this show that is all about the love Americans have with over-the-road travel at The Light Factory. The show closes on Sunday so gas up and get over there before it’s too late!
