Welcome! Now Win

Last season was forgettable for Carolina Panthers fans who had playoff wishes and Super Bowl dreams. But now that the front office has tried to work magic through the NFL Draft and by acquiring some free agents, it’s time to test drive the new blood as the 2007 NFL preseason begins.

Last season was forgettable for Carolina Panthers fans who had playoff wishes and Super Bowl dreams. But now that the front office has tried to work magic through the NFL Draft and by acquiring some free agents, it’s time to test drive the new blood as the 2007 NFL preseason begins.

One name you should get familiar with is rookie wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett. Fresh off a three-year run at Southern California (known as USC on the West Coast), he is ready for the big show.

“The game is bigger and faster,” Jarrett says. “But at the same time, it’s football and you go out there, learn the plays, do the best you can, and have fun.”

As the Panthers host the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers in preseason action, look for Jarrett to team up with Pro Bowl receiver Steve Smith to take turns in the end zone. “I want to help the team win more games, make the playoffs, and get to the big dance.”
