What’s Happening: Sales around town

Sales are happening. Let us elaborate:

At CAPITOL and poole shop right now sale items are 75% off. This includes designers like Stella McCartney, Matthew Williamson, 3.1. phillip lim, and Isaac Mizrahi. Personally, I have taken a sabbatical from shopping for the next few days due to little something we’ll call “Sarah’s inability to restrain herself when she went to Anthropologie last weekend.” However, were this not the case, a trip to poole shop would be among my plans for the evening.

Everything at The Bag Lady is 20% to 70% off. Books are 25% off. Furniture is 50% off. Lights, lamps, and nightlights are 25% off. And then, on top of that, sale items are 50% to 70% off. So, I have a slight addiction to Roly Poly (the French Twist is my diet’s arch nemesis) and as it is just a few doors down from The Bag Lady, I find myself there often, checking out their merch—and they’ve got some really cool stuff. And, well, seriously all merchandise is kind of cool when it’s marked 70% off.

sticki rice on East Boulevard is having a HUGE sale. All of their jewelry is $10 and almost all of their other merchandise is 80% off. Yes, you read that correctly. 80%. I don’t think I need to say anything more here.

The Carolina Warehouse Sale. You’ve probably heard about this by now. This AMAZING sale, organized by Ruth Caldwell, the buyer for CAPITOL and poole shop will be starting on Saturday, June 27 in the old Barnes & Noble building across from SouthPark Mall. (Read all about it in our July issue, on stands next week.) Or, go to their Web site to learn more. Tomorrow morning they’re releasing the list of participating Charlotte boutiques. Let me just tell you—it’s pretty much all you would dream of.
