Young Affiliates of the Mint Happy Hour
These twenty- and thirty-something-year-old supporters of the Mint Museum are hosting a happy hour this Tuesday, July 12 at Biergarten. Network, mingle, and learn more about YAM and their upcoming events and programs. Drink specials include $3 domestics and $4 for all other beers. Social Supremacy
Come out to this “fundraising happy hour for Charlotte socialites” and enjoy fashion, music, art, and a cash bar. The event takes place this Thursday, July 14 at the Gantt Center and is hosted by “The Beautiful People,” who are some of the city’s premier stylists and makeup artists. There will be a Sole to Soul fashion component of the event, featuring an informal shoe fashion show by Elle VJ Boutique. Plus, you’ll be able to tour the John and Vivian Hewitt Collection of African-American Art. Proceeds will support the education and outreach programming through the Hewitt Education Fund. 6-10 p.m. $5 minimum donation. Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture, 551 S.
