Good Bottle Co. Celebrates 5 Years With Weeklong Event

It’s been five years since owner Chris Hunt threw open the doors of Good Bottle Co., which has been a staple bottle shop for locals and those visiting Charlotte. This week is a way for the SouthEnd shop to give back, as GBC is hosting events Monday through Saturday to celebrate its five-year anniversary.
It all starts Monday, with all drafts $4. On Tuesday, join Good Bottle’s Blake Monroe for BYOV and pizza. This event is where you bring in your own vinyl (hence the acronym) albums, and Blake (a talented musician in his own right who just released an album with his band Attalaya) will put the needle on the record. Good Bottle is also providing free pizza to everyone who comes Tuesday.
Wednesday is the official customer appreciation day, as Good Bottle’s way of saying thanks to everyone who has come through the bottle shop the last five years is by putting everything on draft for $2.50. This historically is a record-setting day for the shop going through kegs, so expect a wide beer lineup.
The next two days will feature tap takeovers from two of the more popular North Carolina breweries, Fonta Flora in Morganton (Thursday) and Burial in Asheville (Friday). Expect some rare beers and surprises from the two, along with some of the breweries’ more popular beers.
The celebration culminates Saturday with something Good Bottle has been known for over the years: a “Good Morning” breakfast. Good Bottle will open at 9 a.m. with a special taplist for the celebration; past breakfasts have also included beermosas and donuts; expect the same this Saturday.
