The Perfect Blend

Hard-to-find lines at Blend in Ballantyne Village
LOGAN CYRUS

When Christy Ward, owner of the new women’s fashion shop Blend, imagined her first retail space, she knew it had to be different. The location was a no-brainer; she wanted to give Ballantyne Village something that she felt it was lacking—a boutique climate.

The second key to success: a selection capable of competing with Charlotte’s already-established boutique scene. For that, she secured hard-to-find lines, such as Jen’s Pirate Booty and Bec & Bridge. The offerings pair well with the shop’s patterned wallpaper, mod leather lounge chairs, and glass shelves. Along the racks, you’ll find threads, jewelry, and accessories ranging from $50 to $300.
